Pitcairn Properties is currently in the design and approvals phase for the development of the Ocean Rio Resort & Residence, a 350-unit luxury condominium and hotel condominium building.
The building is located on the beach, at the intersection of Rio Grande and Ocean Avenues, in Wildwood, NJ. The 44,000 square foot site is located within the recently enacted Hotel/Motel Overlay Zone, the goal of which is to increase development in the blocks surrounding the city\'s convention center. The zoning change allows increased building heights up to 250 feet, and has sparked a wave of redevelopment wherein the existing stock of low-rise motels will be replaced by modern, luxury high rises. The Ocean Rio Resort & Residence will be the first of these.
As currently designed, the building is 24 stories tall and has 350 condominium hotel suites with approximately 13,000 sf of street level retail space. Units will feature high-end finishes and substantial outdoor balcony or patio space. In addition, owners and guests will have access to amenities including concierge service, an elevated outdoor deck with a pool and food service, a fitness center, a spa, and business/meeting space.
